The Compleat Rite of Memphis

Hermetic Library Fellow T Polyphilus reviews The Compleat Rite of Memphis by Allen H Greenfield

This volume’s not all that “compleat” after all. It is a convenient, though flimsy, digest of much of the public-domain material on the degrees of the Masonic Rite of Memphis, but missing many of the most interesting catechisms and lectures from the Reduced (or Antient & Primitive) Rite. Greenfield’s self-aggrandizing editorial apparatus adds no particular value. [via]
